Gosh, I cant say enough good things about Elephant Head Lodge. Our family of three all enjoyed our stay - cabins were quaint and clean. The Lodge is made up of several individual cabins, so its like having your own little house. The bed was comfortable, and the grounds were quiet. We stayed three nights, and had an opportunity to have multiple ...
Everyone was super nice, the kids are great and our cabin (Buckaroo) was perfect. Cabin was clean, beds comfortable and our front porch gave us room to eat and just talk with each other... Visited end of July 2009. Also great base camp to visit Yellowstone! Would we go back? Absolutely!
Driving up the driveway in the dark after a 10-hour drive, we were a little apprehensive about the place - we were pleasantly surprised. We stayed in the Trapper cabin which was great. The staff was more than friendly, and the food - although mostly meat and potatoes fare - was delicious. My only complaints are they say they are in Cody when ...
Just got married last month and stayed at the Lodge for a few days afterward. It was wonderful---family-run business, good meals, beautiful location and comfy cabins. We wanted to stay a few extra days. Went horseback riding on the last day and had a great time--guide was very helpful and made us feel comfortable (my husband had never ridden before and I had a bad experience the last time). Would definitely recommend!
We stayed at Elephant Head Lodge in 2002. The cabins are all very clean and nice. There are several of many sizes. The on site food is excellent. The hosts are very nice and the hired help( usually college age or early 20's) are friendly, helpful and even got this non-horse woman on a trail ride. The location is good, close enough to get into Yellowstone and Cody. Great for kids or adults.
