    Of all the Inns in WV, I love the General Lewis Inn the best. I have stayed there in Spring, Summer, Winter and Fall and have been delighted with the service and ambience of this beautiful place. I have read the reviews that the beds are hard but that isn't exactly true as each room is different and so are the beds. Every room is decorated in ...

  • Nice, but noisy, inn

    Nice inn, clean and charming. However, it is located on a main road where cars and trucks speed by so it does take away from some of the charm. Definitely request a room in the back of the inn, it helps.

    There are so many elements that make the General Lewis Inn an especially wonderful and stress free experience.   • Nice Inn in a nice town

    The General Lewis Inn,located on the site of an 1862 Civil War Battle,is named in honor of a Revolutionary War era patriot, General Andrew Lewis. The gardens are a delight and the short walk to the quaint downtown makes the General Lewis and ideal weekend getaway. The owners and the staff are friendly and courteous, and you will definitely want to return here again and again!
