Dumpy, skeleton crew working, no AC in lobby area, weird adjacent lounge, no working elevator. I was there 8-14 through 8-17. I guess it closed that following Monday. I felt bad for the gathering there 8-16. The post dated 8-19 summed it up.
They lost my reservation made through hotels.com (I was speaking to Shawna at the hotel). I spent 30 minutes back and forthe with hotels.com and Shawna trying to sort this out. I arrived at the hotel at 3pm, 1 hour ahead of check in. Unfortunately it was Shawna again that I had to deal with at the front desk. She would not give me a room and made ...

Garbage Dump! Book at Davenport instead.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/19/08
I had my 20th High School Reunion at the Ridpath this weekend and it was a disaster. in a room fit for 100 people, we had 200. The air conditioning was broken, the bathrooms were not kept up and were overflowing. And the "Manager" was off that night. It really says something about a place when 200 people who paid $90 or so, leave the ...

What a trip
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/26/08
We arrived to the Ridpath excited to be in Spokane for our vacation. When we arrived at the front desk two people that worked there were talking to each other for ten minutes before even helping us check into our rooms. We were never told were to find any ice buckets and when the restaurant open. He was to concerned about his poker game on his ...
So my girlfriend decided to suprise me with a nice fancy room for my birthday..... Nice and Fancy was notwhat we got. We used the greasy smelling service elevator because the regular elevator was down (has been forever), Our bathroom was filthy with blood on the sink! We called to have it cleaned and no one ever came.
Ok, we'll start with the good things, the desk-clerk was very helpful, I think her name was sasha, she let us check in early as we had to be somewhere before their 3pm check in time. The lobby and mezzanine level are nice, lots of green marble and tile. pretty nice for Spokane but surely not the Davenport. AND NOW ALL THE HORRIBLE THINGS... ...
The staff was so friendly and accommodating our entire stay we didnt encounter any problems at all. I come to town quite often and it's by far the best service in town!

Not very impressed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/31/07
So this is the famous Ridpath? I visited friends attending a convention and the primary complaint was universal: too small! I was stunned that they managed to cram two full-sized beds into that tiny bedroom, leaving almost no room for walking around them. Even in April the room was hot and the windows would not open to ventilate the space. ...

Great atmosphere, but a few issues.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/27/07
Overall the place is good, but does have some glaring issues. The only parking available is on a valet basis, and if the garage is full (which it was when I stayed), you will often end up parking in a $20 per day pay lot nearby. The restaurant food is good but overpriced, however the service is good. Room rates seem overly high unless you are ...

Should be shut down
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/25/07
Checked in - not the room described in my reservation (i.e. two queens)...dirty...completely helpless/useless staff. To add insult to injury to this less than stellar room - went to go use the face cloth in the washroom and to our 'surprise' (i.e. nightmare) not only was the comlimentary mouthwashed opened and half used, someone had taken ...
