Fantastic location. Beautiful grounds right on the lake and within walking distance to the rain forest. Hiking trails all over. Lots of activities. You're kind of in the middle of no where, but it still has a resort feel to it. We will absolutley be back later this summer and will continue to return!

We stayed in Main lodge for a night. The room was with very old with furniture and blankets, and was smell bad. At night, I could not sleep because I could hear noises from other rooms. Our first overnight vacation in a National Forest lodge exceeded our expectations. The service was "down home" without any pretension. Helpful and attentive to our every request made the service staff seem more like family. Our room was comfortable and very clean. The food in the lodge was excellent.

This can be a great place and experience if you are lucky and careful. My recommendation is to book with caution or consider the other accommodations/restaurants in the area and just visit the lodge. Experiancing warmer welcomes than that we received at the front desk we got a nice and clean room.

Food you do not have much of a choice out there was good, but not on a deluxe chef level.
