Really, really needs a remodel. Lobby is above average, still costs $20 to park, but the hallways and rooms are really run-down. Not a typical Starwood property. A real disappointment.

This hotel is was not up to the five (5) star standards one would expect from a Sheraton or any other 5-star hotel that you are paying on average $179.00 per/night. Let me say, however, that the customer service staff was very nice.

No hot water on one side of hotel. Have to flush toilet 20 to 30 times with water running to get the pump going on the other side of hotel , was told by maintenance, front desk and restaurant personnell. Place smelled like mold and fungus. Furnace in room was covered with dust and dirt. Windows do not open, no fresh air. Restaurant costs are outragous. No wireless internet in the rooms, have to pay for internet.

Stay somewhere else!

I've stayed at this Hotel, and after reading the previous review I can hardly believe I stayed at the same one as these people. Albeit, when I first checked in the room I found the ice bucket filled, and an empty can of snuff sitting on the bed, which greatly annoyed me, these were very quickly resolved by the staff when I alerted them to it. ...

This Hotel is horrible! The place is dirty, carpets are stained, parking is $20.00 US per day at the hotel, or $12.00 per day across the street, staff is horrible!
Our room was never properly cleaned. When we arrived, the bathroom had urine spots around the toilet, the carpet was nasty, and the beds were made twice during the 8 days we stayed ...

We (I, my wife and my 18 months old baby), arrived at the Norfolk Sheraton to spend the memorial day weekend.

Went to the lobby and was given a room on floor 5. Great!

We went up to the room to find one twin/full bed with no refrigerator.
I had specifically asked for a King size bed and a refrigerator to store milk for the baby.

From the outside, the hotel looks nice. But, once you're in the rooms, it's disappointing. The rooms are old and are falling apart. The doors don't close all the way, presenting a security risk. They have new velvet drapes and new comforters on the bed. But, this doesn't make up for dirty floors, dirty carpeting, dirty walls and ...

This hotel is in a great location and when you frequent a specific chain of hotels you come to expect the same quality/experience at all of them. This definitely is not a normal Starwood product.
