Just returned from a week at Barclay Towers. The staff were friendly and very helpful when needed. Check in was smooth even though we were early. The hotel facilities were just as they were described. No surprises. We booked sight unseen, so this was a great relief.
The indoor pool is a bit of a disappointment, but we were aware it was indoor ...

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/13/07
The hotel itself was excellent, very clean, decor was excellent, rooms were up to date and roomy. The bedrooms were comfortable, nicely furnished. The living room was comfortable until you tried sleeping on the queensize mattresses, they are in need of replacement, I got 4 rooms and each room, the same thing, the queensize sofabed matresses are ...

A- Win-Win Review from us to You!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/20/07
My husband and I were celebrated our 10 year anniversary last weekend and we were glad that we chose the Barclay Towers.
The entire staff was very accommodating, polite and understandable, from the front desk to housekeeping. Parking was great, we were quite pleased with our suite and the price was affordable! The ocean front view and ...
I liked that is was clean, the furniture was beachie style. We looked right out into the ocean from the livingroom and balancy. The King size bed was great. The staff was very nice and the maid who clean the rooms did a great time. The location was great because the beach was not crowded. I would go back again. My husband and I had a great time. ...
For several years now our local,(Area 12 Special Olympics) has participated in the Polar Plunge held each year the first Saturday in Feb. We have always enjoyed our stay here. The 2nd room (kitchenette)and TV are great since I don't like sports and my family does. This is our favorite place.

Look forward to this every year
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/01/06
We absolutely love Barclay Towers. The rooms are plenty spacious. The kitchen really helps us out especially with two kids (8 &3). Beach is right outside the door. The staff is wonderful. We have stayed there the last several years in September and we look forward to it all year long. Nice pool and spa. The beds are as comfortable as ...

would stay again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/28/06
It was a nice place to stay at a great price. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There isn't a restaurant but many are near by. The kitchenette was very handy but bring your own coffee b/c they don't provide it.
For beachfront rentals, the Barclay towers packs the most punch for your dollar. With all rooms ocean front, a polite staff and a realitively well maintained building my wife and I, who visit Virginia Beach every year, have found the place to stay. For under $100 per nite (after Labor Day) you can't beat it. We highly recommend it. /Revisit in September 2006 and we are still well pleased and will return
