The Doubletree Hotel in downtown Houston was great. We stayed there during a convention. It was clean and comfortable. The restaurant was a little pricey for us, but there is a Subway and McDonalds within walking distance. We also ordered pizza from a local pizzeria that was delivered right to our room. There is a hotel car service that would take us anywhere in the downtown area for free! I will definately stay there again.

We just finished a stay here. The rooms are nothing special, the location isn't stellar. Other than that, it was fine.

We walked from the Verizon Wireless Theater about midnight and encountered no problems. It's not across the street, but it isn't that far, either. Maybe a ten minute walk (walking, not shuffling)

It is avertised as being close to theverizon theater...its about 8 blocks away. There are no really good places to eat anywhere near the hotel. The hotel food is over priced and not that tastey.
