The description given by Yahoo travel is why we selected this hotel. The truth:

- Poor modification of older cheapie motel
- Horribly inconvenient location.
- The restaurant is not in walking distance and is a dive.
- View from one side is ghetto. Tall concrete prison type wall separates.
- View from back is large shipping company and ...

They say "newly remodeled" but, evidently, the remodeling hadn't made it's way to my room. My room looked nothing like anything I saw in the pix.
It seemed to have been recently painted since someone had humorously written "Orbitz Quality" on an errant swip of paint.

This is a former Best Value Inn motel and everything about it is in line with a one-star motel - the furniture in the rooms, the paper-thin towels with holes and stains, the employees who don't care to try to make your stay pleasant. Do yourself a favor and don't stay there.

Well, it was in the right place, but it was a little run down. It needs new paint and bathroom. I guess that is how you get the best value ... sacrifice. I looked out the window at the doubletree and wanted to go there. The pool needed cleaning ... I was scared to even jump in it. The amenities are great, but they just need to be upkept. There is also a bar directly in front of the not-so-private pool and you get whistles from the ladies.

This hotel is a little run down. It does does provide a basic level of comfort which is adequate if you don't expect too much. The room was clean, the bed reasonably comfortable. The room looked kinda 'tattered", the alarm clock didn't work and while there was an in-room coffee maker, it was missing a filter basket.
