And what is the daily $2.50 (+tax) amenity fee suppose to pay for? Wifi and other don't-expect-it-to-work-well hassles.
I felt bad for some of the younger employees because you could tell that they had been told to lie when there were complaints. (No matter what you complain about, you will be told that you were the first to report the ...

We checked in and checked out within 15 minutes of our stay, didn't demand a refund because we couldn't wait to leave the worst so-called hotel we've ever been to, only to come home and realize there was a $2.50 ammenities fee on my credit card. i tried calling the hotel front desk to explain the situation; i was cut off on my 3rd ...
I have stayed in North plaza Hotel, booked the first night with hotwire for one night. i had to book for another week, then two weeks later after i moved out, they charged me another $ 40.00. the second day of my renewal i got yelled at by the lady because I just asked that my room should have a fridge and microwave as advertised for extended stay
After waiting in line for over 45 minutes to check in, I was told that the room I had reserved over 6 weeks prior for 2 double beds through their system was not available. However they did have a room with 1 bed because they do not guarantee the number of beds - just a room. They offered me extra pillows and blankets so that 2 of us could sleep ...
The A/C does not cool, the rooms smell, this hotel need to be updated. Pool need to be cleaned. This would a great hotel if updated.

Not bad for the price

Overall for the price this place isn't bad. The grounds are kept up and the room was clean. The staff however isn't very friendly and the wifi wasn't working as advertised.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/03/07
the location is great...right off I35 and close to lots of food and shopping. we went for a baseball tournament the staff provided us with directions and suggestions for dining out. Rooms were clean. The pool was refreshing but busy with all the families. The price was fair.
This place is not worth the money. The room was hot and smelled bad. I asked for and was given a new room that was even worse. It also smelled bad, there was a leak in the ceiling and the toilet ran all over the floor whenever it was flushed. I asked the management to have someone fix the toilet and they never arrived. We had to mop up water from the floor anytime we used the toilet. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!
There was about 3 months of algae growing in the pool. It was disgusting. Cooled off in the fountain instead. TV didn't work, and there was a bug as big as my face in our first room. When I called down to the desk about it, instead of giving me a new room, they sent up a bell clerk to catch the bug with a water glass! I demanded another ...

We stayed for a week last year visitng relatives and was not real impressed, however, because of the location to their home we chose to stay again Nov. 10-20-06.
This hotel has had some turn around since last year, nice new bar and grill in the front of the property with a new staff who goes out of their way to please, there is a new property ...
