It is at th hub of the activities. Downtown Custer onehalf mile away yet there were deer in the front yard morning and evening. It was more like being at home if you wanted to sit on the porch you could. Rooms were neat and clean. Most were about 40 yards back from the road, and sheltered by pinetrees. Atractions in south dakota are easy day trips away. A great place to base you trip. I will stay there again when in SD,
Extremely disappointed in both the room and the "German" menu. Poorest excuse for German cooking I have every come across. The only good thing I have to say about the palce is the location, but you have several other places in the area from which to choose.
THE ROOM WASNT WORTH WHAT I PAID.IT WAS OLD AND NEEDED A LOT OF UPGRADES.THE FOOD WAS TERRIBLE. I WAS OVER CHARGED ON MY CREDIT CARD,MANAGEMENT WAS VERY RUDE.
We spent 4 nights at this motel and enjoyed the Mom-n-Pop atmosphere. If you're looking for a five star motel, you won't be happy. If you're looking for clean rooms, fun for the kids and a nice location, you'll enjoy this place. The main office smelled like moth balls, but the rooms were very odor free and clean. The inside pool ...
Loved the feel of it, cabiny! Quaint place, with trees all around. Very clean rooms. Everything you could need was right there. Very cute! It was also a great location. No negatives. LOVED IT!
Very clean and tidy.Centrally located to all local attractions. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If you like the howl of coyotes at night, and the gobble of turkeys at dawn, and deer in the parking area, you will love this place. We would definitely stay here on our next visit.
We stayed at four hotels in the black hills and the review from the web site said it was the best and we thought it would be. Well the price was off from what we were told and the room had a dirty towel and it wasn't cozy. The pool and spa ok. Other than that not worth the money.
I grew up in Custer, now in Wisconsin and my husband and i love driving out to the Black Hills every summer for our vacations and every year it has been a blast. I love everything about the hills. Katie
The Bavarian Inn remains our family's favorite place to stay in Custer--and pretty much the entire Black Hills--for those times we aren't staying in a cabin or B&B. It's a stone's throw from everything good Custer has to offer and yet is pleasingly on the east edge of town towards Crazy Horse, in the forest and up and away from the ...
we would have liked to stay longer. the inn is very close to crazy horse, they have tennis courts and a hiking area behind the Inn, there is an excellant resteraunt on the property. the main hiway that leads to custer state park, the national forest are very accesible. the owners of the inn are incredibly thoughtful and helpful in giving directions. we would have loved to stay Longer as previously stated.
