My husband and I just stayed here on 3/25/06. The only bad thing I have to say is the girl at the front desk in the morning could have atleast pretended to be nice everyone else was pleasant. The room was great clean and a comfortable king size bed. Great view of the harbor. We had a nice dinner at the hotel restaurant limited menu because it ...

Stay away, far away!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/15/06
The Newport Harbor Hotel shouldn't even be in bussiness at this point...what a disgrace! The food was awesome, the accommodations were borderline disgusting and the front desk staff was mute, disrespectful, and unhelpful They pushed us along like we were an unconvience. We asked to speak to a manager, but none came. If not for the view and the ...

Gross
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/30/05
After checking in with a less than friendly front desk manager, we went upto our room to find hair on the pillow cases, powder on the desk and (this is the gross part) toenail clippings on the floor! We went down and had our room changed, the (manager) did not offer any type of apology only changed our room. The location was great but for the cost I would have expected much more.

I was violated and cheated
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/26/05
Located in beautiful downtown in the middle of everything.
Bed was very uncomfortable with the bedframe the stuck out a good four inches (I have the bruise on my fore leg to prove it). Walls with no insulation. You could hear your neighbor going to the bathroom and people up and down the halls late at night. No shampoo and one bar of soap ...

Have you ever wished you hadn't done something.....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/22/05
I wish we hadn't stayed at the Newport Harbor Hotel. The location is great and goes without saying more, but the rest put a big downer on it. I can pretty much stay anywhere, but I felt cheated when I stayed at the Newport Harbor Hotel. Most hotels on this green earth (if upper class) have High speed internet access. When we booked the room ...
I'll start off with the good first: This hotel is in a great location--right in the heart of downtown Newport. You can walk to just about anything and the little shops and cafes in the blocks surrounding the hotel are great.
Now, the bad: Upon check-in myself and the others I was traveling with were greeted by a rather rude and ...

Great location. Rude Staff. Very expensive for a Holiday Inn Express type hotel. Small rooms.

It was o.k.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/08/05
I stayed at this Hotel and on the first morning when I woke up a found a very disgusting stain on my blanket. (I won't say what it looked like)I know it was there before me. Also the maid asked me for a tip, which I thought was rude. I am a manager at a four star hotel myself, and none of the maids would dream of asking for a tip. I also ...
