I agree with the earlier review concerning the Front Desk Staff. Everything else about our stay was fine, but those girls need to smile and not be so robotic with the curt, one-word replies to legitimate questions. To make them come out of their little back room there to wait on someone looked like torture for them! Get some personality-if you don't wish to meet and greet people in a pleasant fashion, get a job working behind a computer!
The Front Desk Staff was just terrible. The Front Desk Manager, Monica, was very rude. I booked my room on-line but was charged almost double when I checked in. Ken, the Manager on Duty was clueless!
The room was very nice and clean but... terribe service!
we enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn. The food is great - the Sunday buffet is unbelievably priced, and the variety is incredible. Service might be a little slow now and then - when we got tapas on Saturday night it took 40 minutes to get our order. we were about to leave, but were glad we stayed because the food was delicious. Really first-rate all around.

Cleanliness of the rooms and the terrific menu and staff in the restaurant were impeccable. The pianist that played during the dinner hour was superb. The front desk personnel were not so ...

Thought I Was In NYC!!

Spent nearly a week at this place and was reminded sooo much of home (without the HUGE bills) I simply could not believe it! Phenomenal staff, great food (especially the steaks, lamb, & veal) because they managed to pull in a classically trained Chef from the Big A! The capper was a completely outstanding wine list. Since my stay I've seen ...

A Fine Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/17/05
I enjoyed my stay at the Downtown-Johnstown Holiday Inn. I stayed for two nights in May, 2003 while visiting family in the area and found it to be a good value. The restaurant at the time was named Harrigan's and my wife and I enjoyed our meals there. The staff was courteous and proved helpful. I intend to stay at this hotel again in August, 2005.

this is one of the most well known inns to stay at in america and it was a sad and forgetful experience. the rooms are all over priced big time. they were'nt that clean and the staff was rude and inconvenient. the food was horrible........what a waste.
