23 August 2006 We stayed here two weeks ago for just one night. The hotel is lovely but the daytime receptionist did not seem to like people. However the young man in the late evening could not have been more friendly and helpful.
Our biggest problem was the bedding. The sheets were badly pilled - not nice to sleep in! Linens in the USA are much cheaper than in the UK. Please buy some new sheets.
Had to be the dirtiest hotel rooom I have ever been in. Moved twice and both times the rooms were dirty. Very hot also. The breakfast restaurant is extremely hig priced and the food is only so so.
We were very pleased with our stay at the Crowne Plaza Quaker Square Inn. The round rooms (converted grain storage silos) are large and very comfortable, very clean and easily accessed. The round rooms have nice city views, especially on the upper floors. Unique hotel in that respect. On site restaurants are very good and resonably priced. Too ...
I spend the night at Crowne Plaza just last week. During my stay there I had an awful time. The staff was rude. We had to ask for towels three times in one day before we even got them. Even the parking lot attendance were rude. The pool was freezing cold and along the bottom there were giant hair balls floating around, it looked like it had not ...
We stayed here back when Hilton owned it and it was great. Besides the historic atmosphere and the fun shopping we were given a free buffet breakfast with our room (not now!),and were able to watch television if we chose. Now if you want to watch anything, listen to music, or use the internet - have your credit card ready. You'll pay for ...
This is my third week, and am looking forward to staying there. I normally hate travel, but this place makes it a good experience. I like the uniqueness of the rooms, and the great selection of the on-premesis restaurants. I rarely leave the hotel after I get back from work.
I enjoyed the cleanliness and roominess of the accommendations. The people there were very polite. I thought I might have left my suit pants there, so I called housekeeping. The lady there (sorry I do not recall her name) immediately returned my call informing me she did not find my pants. I did find them in my luggage after all. I enjoyed the ...
The hotel staff were very courteous, with exception to some night staff. The house keeping staff was more helpful then anyone we spoke to though. It is a unique hotel with cozy and quaint atmosphere. Food was good, sleep was great, and price was right. Will be going back to stay here again in April!
The staff was kind and courteous. The room are unique and spacious. The weekend was quiet and relaxing. Much needed rest for parents of three children(6 and under) Thank you Quaker Square.
The round rooms seem odd, but in practice worked out pretty well, with nice space. I was there on a Sunday night, so the food options were greatly reduced, but room service was on time and professional. And how can you dismiss such a unique place!
