I am originally from NY but moved away for three years. I went back for a family emergency and we booked at this hotel. My experience there was not the best. The facilities were dated but OK as we only spent the nights there. Parking was free and the management was most helpful. A good staging place for trips into the city. Yahoo Travel never sent my reservation to these people so luckily I had my downloaded copy which allowed me to get the rate I was promised.

OVERALL
It is a senior center and hotel

Be aware that the hotel is a Senior Citizens Center as well as a hotel. We booked over the internet and there was no mention of this being a Senior Center/hotel. Besides the fact that it smelled like a hospital, our room had no telephone and the window had a bad leak. We complained to the front desk and they never took care of either problem. ...
Directions to the room as well as parking instructions were somewhat confusing but, otherwise, our stay was a very positive experience. Unfortunately we were there for only one night and spent most of the time at a family gathering near by so we did not take advantage of most of the amenities. We are planning a return trip in November.
