The only thing this hotel has going for it is the view. The whole hotel smells musty and the rooms are filthy. The hotel was full of screaming kids running up and down the halls at 5 am and there is zero soundproofing.

For the money, there are better places to stay.

they boast discounted rates with terrific view, however when you check in they put you on the first floor. Be careful when booking and prepaying for your room in the event you have to cancel.for an emergency.. the manager will not allow you to unless someone dies in your family... there are better deals and good views everywhere in Lake Placid

It was CLEAN!...The staff was friendly, and the view was beautiful!!...............Also, the price, considering the location, was very reasonable..The only drawback might be the steel terrain surrounding the hotel...If you're on foot, its quite a climb
