The private beach was wonderful. The exterior looked a little dated but the interior seemed to be remodeled recently. Comfortable bed. Nice staff. OK breakfast. I would go back again.

I will definately go back to this hotel next trip to Tahoe.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/16/07
The Location was perfect, and the service was very personalised ... the staff went out of their way to help, and were very friendly. I plan on returning to this particular hotel next time I visit Lake Tahoe. In fact, they suggested all sorts of outside services to accomodate my stay, including shuttle services, flight connections and for ...

Great place and location for price
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/31/07
It was my first time going to Lake Tahoe and my boyfriend and I had a wonderful time. The hotel's location was perfect; it wasn't too far away (driving-wise) from the casinos/shopping or the great hiking trails. We also loved that it was right on the beautiful lake. The rooms were clean and we found the staff quite helpful. I'd stay here again if I ever get the chance to come back!
This motel cost a little more than others, but it was well worth it. Gas fireplace in room & small balconies,it was a nice room. Two restaurants and bars on property. This place is much, much, better than all of the roach motels in SLT.

Not a pleasant stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/27/06
Somehow something is missing: The quality of service. The hotel is in prime location, but the staff isn't so no nice as the view. And wireless charges $4.95 an hour.
I spent Labor Day Weekend at the Best Western Timber Cove Lodge. The place looks a lot better on the Web site than it does in real life. We paid extra for a "lakeview" room. But really, you could only see a little bit of the lake and that's if you stood out on the balcony. There are rooms with better views of the lake. Just not ours. ...

Awesome views, awesome service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/02/06
I loved the layout of the hotel. Very spacious, the Pier wonderful, great water activities right at your fingertips. The service within the hotel and at the pier was awesome. The views from my lakeside room were so peaceful and relaxing. I will defintely be back for more.
Our rooms were nice- pretty fire place, great scenery and beautiful view of the lake. I loved that we were on the lake so that we could walk to the beach. The pool was nice and I liked how the hot tub was sort of secluded. The bathrooms need updating. The shower head was so low that I had to scrunch down just to get my head under it! The beds were ok, kind of hard though, but overall, I enjoyed my stay.
We was very pleased with the decision to stay here. The rooms were decorated nicely, and we loved the fireplace. We had a partial lake view from the balcony which was nice. Staff were very nice and helpful and they suggested the Blue Bistro on the pier at the hotel, and it was the best meal I've had in a long long time. I highly suggest it! ...
