very disappointing. Food was room temp to cold. Ribs were small and had no sign of a rub or any real bark. Brisket was better. Pork was sliced instead of pulled. Sausage was average. Prices are very expensive and sides were less then stellar. The mac & cheese was greasy and lacked any real cheese, giving it a very powdery texture. Mashed sweet ...

Recently, my husband and I tried Wilson’s Real Pit Barbeque in Fairfield, CT. To say that the food was disappointing is very generous considering that we’ve had barbeque before. Our expectations were reasonable; we simply desired good food, even if it was a little different—well, long story short, the food was different but I wasn’t very ...

...I guess I need to preface this comment by stating emphatically that I am NOT AFFILIATED WITH WILSON'S HOLY SMOKE BBQ IN ANY WAY.
OK now that THAT's out of the way:
All I can offer is my experience based on my past travels (of which food is always a major part of). Having been to BBQ meccas St. Louis and Kansas City, Wilson's ...

Say.. am I the only one that thinks bones2u2 is the owner of the restaurant? Listen, all aside, the BBQ is good, but everyone is quite unhappy with the prices, bones2u2.(and I know you will dismiss it, but I speak for an excellent cross section of Fairfield). I'd like to stop in and give it another try, but I'll probably end up walking ...

BBq is very subjective...as a certified BBQ judge I judge KCBS sanctioned events...I am retired ...lived in texas and kansas most of my life...been to Blue Ribbon in Boston...over sauced and poor quaility meat...but decent. Wilsons' brisket is very competitive, his sauce made in the house I've talked with him several times. He buys the ...

Real BBQ

I'm from Plano Texas, coopers is our favorite there, the Bushs' go there. I have lived in the northeast for 8 years. Wilsons is without a doubt the best joint we've found. Most BBQ places won't do it (Brisket), because it's so hard to be consistent. Wilsons' figured out. I travel througout the country, and this place is it, ...
This is an amazing restaurant. It's small so there is limited seating. You can take out and bring home for dinner or lunch. The BBQ pork and chicken are amazing. Try the Mullagany Stew on a cold winter day. Chipotle dressing on salads, YUM! Cornbread is moist. Give it a try! We get take-out at least once a week.
My wife and I are southerners. We know good BBQ. This isn't it!!! The food is bland and has barely a hint of smoke. Sauce is ho hum. The platters are expensive (16 dollars) and come with 2 sides. The sandwiches are about 8 bucks and stink on ice. I can't believe this place stays in business. The only explanation is that many people in ...
