I just returned from Memorial Day Weekend at the Grand Rios with my wife and two children.

Pros:
-Nice medium-sized in-door waterpark with with good activties for toddlers to teens.
-Waterpark was not crowded at all- no lines for slides.

Disaster weekend! Check in and out were way too long, and all mixed up. We reserved a poolside room to have a party for my son, and when we checked in...no room available! In Minnesota it's not easy to find a water park in March. The Grand Rios gives the kids that place. It was a bit crowded, but the waits really weren't bad. The room overlooked the hotel pool which also offered a hot top. There was a nice balconey with tables to have a picnic lunch.

I would highly recommend the Grand Rios. My family of 4 (with 2 kids 5 and 7 yrs old) all had a great time. There is a good variety of activities in the water park. Short lines for the bigger slides, warm water and plenty of clean towels! The food was resonably priced and excellent. Thank you, Grand Rios!

Overall this is a prime winter "recharge" resort for a family with kids of all ages, there were lots of parties going on and we weren't an exception. Fun things to do for adults and children of all ages, the girls can float around in the lazy river, boys can go down the 5 "bodyslides", little kids can splash around in the 1 ...

We responded to a local flyer promo for $99/nt room rate including 4 water park passes. With water park passes at $16-$20, this was a deal.

We had dinner at the Beach House Bar and Grille. Food was not bad for Hotel Food. Steaks had to be sent back to be cooked longer, but nothing major. Wait staff was VERY attentive and never had to ask for ...

I was a former employee of the Grand Rios and I think that if you want to know about The Rios you have to attend yourself. The reviews on here (although most are honest) there are a few that are not honest...when things do not go YOUR way do YOU get angry??? A few of these people placed the blame on the hotel and managers and they are very wrong. ...

I had to pay 12 dollars just to go inside to sit in the balcony so I would be available for the kids. Also-not enough lockers were provided-one of the kids had a jersey stolen.
