Staff is very helpful. Free boat cruise was great. Service was great. Rooms were great. Food was great. Mall nearby was excellent. Free shuttle to downtown boston. Brochures on sightseeing possibilities. 2 hour trolley ride that they recommended was great.

Wonderful staff and amenities!

It is a top notch hotel convenient to all and the view of the Charles River is beautiful. It is my preferred hotel when I visit my son at Harvard.
Of course we would go back again in a heart beat. Great location, beautiful even in the coldest time of the year. Short walk to the Museum of Science. There are many good eating places in the area too if you do not want to pay high prices for hotel food. Our "river view" for which we paid a premium, was very small and included a brick wall, but what we saw was worth the extra cost. Boston lights at night. Free internet.

Nice room
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/22/06
I thought the staff were very courteous and polite, and the room was clean with a nice view. The hotel was very quiet at night. I didn't even hear the people next door or in the hall. The artwork was interesting in the halls and room. Complaint: the wireless internet was unreliable.

Great Views - Great Rates!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/28/06
The first thing you notice about the Sonesta is the views - amazing - from the lobby, your room, the restaurant, even the elevator landings! The rooms are newly decorated - with comfortable beds, free wireless Internet and those new flat screen tv's.
I was very pleased with the location - I could walk to several restaurants (the hotel is ...

Nice, but.....watch your wallet!

I like the location of the Royal Sonesta a lot. Convenient to Boston, the airport, Science Museum, etc. Rooms are a bit small, but nicely appointed. They "ding" you for a lot of little extras: $25/night for parking - can you believe it? ...and, my personal favorite: when you arrive, there's a nice bottle of Evian on the counter ...
The Hotel was immaculate, the bedding was to die for, and the view of the Charles was a nice addition. The pool at this Hotel was spectacular. The filtration system as note in the property description, doesn't leave you feeling like your skin shrunk a size from the chemicals in the pool. Great location- Cambridge

My review of Royal Sonesta Hotel
By An Orbitz reviewer, 06/20/05
We were very pleased about everything except that we chose one of the rooms as a river view and there really was no river view. In fact both rooms were the same. When I asked about this the front desk staff only said both were excutive rooms. So we found that there was not need to pay the extra hundred we paid. We didn't get the room we paid for. Other wise rooms were comfortable. The hotel in all was excellent.

The Charles at your back door
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/25/05
This hotel/motel has been sited here for decades. There is a boat mooring and jogging path at your back window and upscale eateries and shopping at the front door. The dining is superb, trendy, and casual. In the summer, one can sit at the outdoor cafe viewing the water. Location is a plus. The hotel has net connection and a 3 lobby PC's. Also, my favorite is the genuine artwork through out the halls. The staff treats you royally!
