The staff was friendly but this hotel has roaches! I was told by the service desk that the critters were "water bugs," they then moved me to a suite. The first night in the new room, a roach was in the bathroom. I was extremely disgusted and disappointed. Now, I am paranoid in each hotel I go to. I had higher standards for Hilton hotels.

The customer service was the worst I've seen at a hotel in a long time. More than one staff member were unprofessional and unhelpful. Neither of the phones in my room worked. There was a roach crawling around my room. The cream for my coffee in my room was curdled. The pasta salad I ate was like paste. The internet was slow. On a lighter note, the fitness room and pool were very nice and the Metro was convenient.

Hotel is adequate overall however
*** THERE IS ON HEAVY CONSTRUCTION IN FRONT OF HOTEL *** Upon check in there was a note about the construction and that the city has waived noise ordinances for.....wait for it..... 9:00pm-5:00am....yes all night jack hammers etc. Large office building will take many months to complete so ask.

I was surprised by the relatively low price for a Hilton but understood once we checked in. Room was tiny, bathroom miniscule! Carpet stained and soiled. Chair with ottoman old and soiled, ottoman had broken legs. We reported it to the front desk but it was not replaced. Ice machine on our floor did not work. On the positive side, staff was friendly. We had reserved two night but left after one night. We won't go back.

Here's what a 300$ a night will get you at the Silver Spring Hilton:

- staff barging into the room 0.5 seconds after knocking
- a TV remote without batteries
- 2 out of 4 light working light bulbs
- no answer from the front desk phone at 11PM
- a shower with a couple minutes of hot water
- a cab reservation, made by the front desk (supposedly), that never arrives

Is it just me, or are the big chain hotels getting away with murder ?

My stay at the Hilton Silver Springs location was great. Being only minutes away from shopping and restaurants was really convenient.
The service that I received was impeccable,from the valet to front desk employees.
My only complaint was that the A/C in my room was not working properly and it did not get fixed.
Overall I had a lovely stay and will definitely stay there in the future.

For a Hilton I was definitely not impressed. The rooms were small I mean very tiny. It was clean and service was fine but I was not pleased with the sleeping accomodations. I would definitely stay at the Crown Plaza only a few blocks away or the Courtyard Marriott. However the price and location could not be beat.

with reservation. Very disappoited with service. They lack integrity, ability to manage Hilton property. Had confirmed reservation for king bed suite, they gave me simple double bed room. After calling front desk they moved me to king suite, next day locked me out as they need my credit card info. One after another, excuse after excuse.

Service was wonderful! Suite was more than I expected - large bathroom, 2 TVs, dataport that worked! Breakfast was very nice. I really appreciated the speed of the shuttle!

I can't find a thing to complain about except a maid that was a bit surly... and that only happened once.
