I brought a baseball group (36 people) down from Queens, NY to sight see and catch a Nats-Mets game. We dealt with a Sales Mgr named Pam Bartlett who was extremely professional and courteous. She gave us a special group rate and had all our rooms ready for us when we arrived at 1:30PM. The hotel wasn't the Taj Mahal but it was clean and ...

Need little polishing

I would recommend that to all those travelling in large group. Near to University of Maryland. With all the low rates and accessbility to MD university, I can overlook the fact that service is little slow. Maybe because they are maintaining huge property at low rates. Reservations.

I'd think twice before going back.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/31/07
The rooms in which we stayed in this hotel (and we had two - the first being absolutely filthy) are well-worn and in need of a thorough cleaning (remodelling). Rooms can be noisy, especially when groups of kids are present. Check in and check out took 10 and 20 minutes, respectively, because only one person was working the front desk/outside phone ...
Like: location, near UMD. Front desk helpful and friendly. Convenient van service. Dislike: Room dreary and somewhat grubby, tired carpet and furniture. Poor TV selection - no PBS or Cspan. Wireless slow. Noisy and old heater and A/C. Hallways grimy and dirty. Lightbulbs missing. Summary: a conveniently located place to crash for one night only ...

Not worth it
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/12/06
Yes, the location is great, but it does not make up for the shady management and poorly lit, dirty rooms. Beware of extra charges and no help from the shady management. Not worth it, not recommended, even for the price.

Not Safe For Women
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/22/06
I stayed at the Quality Inn for 7 days. One morning someone attempted to enter my room very, very early in the morning. Thank goodness I had the security lock in place to prevent entry. There was no knock on the door....just someone attempting to get in.
Later that morning the housekeeping supervisor came busting into my room without ...

Great location- a 4 block walk to the metro about 20 min ride to downtown DC + attractions. Walk to dining locations- applebee's, boston market, chipolte, noodles & company, coldstone creamery, & much more. Also close to a CVS and bank of america. Decent value- free breakfast & parking. there is also a shuttle to the metro if you need ...
