We go to the big easy several times a year, and have stayed at almost every hotel in the frenchquarter, parking is the best and cheapest we have found so far. Would highly recommend, saw where someone reviewed that it was not clean. :( I think they may have mistaken dirty for historical, we are talking about a home built in the 1800's so shiny ...
Cancelled my reservation and now a month later, still have not received a credit of my deposit. Be careful when reserving. You may not get your deposit back.

Think Twice Before Giving a Deposit!

After reading the reviews, we were excited about staying here, but due to a change in plans, we had to cancel our reservations. We called and called and after a month, we still did not receive our deposit back. We finally had to call our credit card company and pursue the matter through them. We will know better than to rebook at this hotel. The whole experience left a bad taste in our mouths :(

IT WAS GREAT!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/18/07
This place is amazing! From the true historical value to the personal service, this wonderful house is comfortable and inviting. The views of the city are beautiful and the balconies filled with the wonders of the French Quarter. There is no evidence of a storm here; only hospitality, a character by which the south is defined.

Winter in New Orleans- Post Katrina
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/22/06
My wife and I stayed in a balcony room overlooking Bourbon Street with hanging ferns and wonderful potted plants. The 18 foot ceilings and four poster beds with an extremely comfortable mattress made our stay. The Victorian period furniture throughout the room and hotel was beautiful. The weekend wine and cheese in the front palor gave us a chance ...

The best
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/04/06
We always stay in Room 21, the best hotel room in the world -- has the entire second floor gallery balcony to itself, overlooking Bourbon Street. We sit there for hours just watching the parade. Service is excellent, very friendly, very attentive to guests's needs.

Memoirs are Made of This
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/11/05
Forty years ago we spent our honeymoon at Lafitte Guest House and how well we remember staying in the C.C. Clayborn Room, the antique Canopy bed and your friendly staff giving us information of your great city, and making our stay something we have talked about for years.
Enjoyed the french doors leading out on the balcony, watching and listening to the activity on the street.
A little known fact, hotels are not the only place to stay in the French Quarter. Bed & Breakfasts are hidded throughout and provide much more charm, history--as they were all mostly private homes & estates in an era gone by, and the service is much more personable as there are NOT hundreds of guests occupying the rooms as there would be in a ...

The Best Little House in the Quarter
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/22/04
I discovered Lafitte's Guest House four years ago and it has become a home away from home. The kindness and attention to detail offered by owners Eddie and Andy, and the warmth of concierge Michael Wilson are unsurpassed in my experience.
One night my sister and I ventured out to find yet another wonderful meal in the lush culinary ...
