OMG! This has to have been the worst hotel stay of our lives. We checked in okay and got to our rooms with ease. Once inside the room, they were very outdated and the bathroom had a foul odor. Not too many complaints. It took forever to check in because supposedly the beds weren't made. Once we got to the room, our keys wouldn't work. The room was clean, but they didn't clean the drain in the bathtub so when we took showers it would fill up with water. Other than the above, it's not a bad hotel for the price and location.

The employees were great. The Desk, security, house keeping, you name it they were all fantastic. I will forever stay at the HI on Royal.

We got to the hotel & there was a large line (Friday @ 4:00). We dropped our bags & hit the streets. My reservation was for a non smoking room with a king size bed. The room had two double beds and the hotel said they did not have a room that would match my reservation.

WE WERE THERE FROM A FRIDAY NIGHT TO A MONDAY MORNING. THE RATE WAS 69.00 PER NIGHT. THE ROOM WAS OK, WE WERE NOT IN IT THAT MUCH BUT THE LOCATION WAS FANTASTIC! WHEN YOU GET THIS KIND OF RATE, YOU SHOULDN'T EXPECT THE RITZ!OVERALL, WE HAD A GREAT TIME AND THE BELL HOP DEAN, WAS GREAT! WOULD PROBABLY TRY SOMEWHERE ELSE NEXT TIME BUT FOR THE MONEY, YOU CAN'T BEAT IT!

The rooms were not clean. Bathroom was dirty and there was only one roll of toilet paper and it was not a full roll.

The chairs in the room were torn.

The buffet should have been free. It was horrible.

I am a New Orleanian and I would not recommend it to anyone.
