This is a resort in an idyllic spot on the North Shore of Oahu. Almost impossible to get a bad view, except from the second floor. Unfortunately this is where the good review ends. We reserved adjoining rooms for our son's family and ourselves. Upon check-in, we were given a room on the second floor (room 222). The room was not adjoining. When ...

I can believe its not been over developed!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/02/07
I was in Turtle Bay last March and have to say it was perhaps my favorite desination yet! I have travelled my whole life, as my father was a pilot. He flew Vancouver to Honolulu for many years and we went with him on several occasions. I had not been back in 10 years and had never seen the North Shore. I could not get out of Honolulu fast ...

Turtle Bay luxury
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/06/07
9th trip to Hawaii, first time staying on the North Shore. The Turtle Bay Beach "cottages" (four ground floor units to a building) are exquisite. Whether you think they are worth more than $500/night depends on your attitude toward Hawaii prices. The accomodations were beautiful, the beach is almost at your doorstep, and the service ...

Beautiful resort
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/09/07
Turtle bay is secluded and sits on a private stretch of beach. Very friendly staff and exceptional service. Golf course is spectacular. Room is modern and the view from the balcony is amazing. It was wonderful to wake up and have breakfast, drink our coffee and read every morning, thus, definitely get a room with a balcony(rooms come without a ...

Had a wonderful time
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/25/07
We loved to snorkel every morning at low tide. Green sea turtles came to see us almost every day. Grabbed a quick lunch at the beach restaurant/bar. Dinner choices at the resort are quite pricey (we had 2 kids). We ate in Haleiwa pretty much every night. The fresh fish at Haleiwa Joes was wonderful.
This was the best hotel on the island. I have been to Hawaii 7 times now and by far this was the most relaxing trip yet. Hotel was so relaxing and quiet. View from the bed was breath takeing. Food was a bit$$$ but still great. I will go back and soon. Rent a car, see the whole island, go to Dole, and take the drive to Waikki to shop. And have the breakfast buffet great food.

This trip was amazing, starting for this hotel, the turtle bay resort is really nice, if you want neat building to stay, this is the right place, clean, quiet, relax, but at the sema time fun and very enjoyable; on wednesdays they have a gruop of local dancing and giving a hint of what you can expext at the polinesian cultural center. We did not ...

Can't Wait to go Back
By keiths66, 05/17/07
We spent 8 fantastic days at Turtle Bay resort. The staff was friendly, the property was clean and well manicured, and the location is perfect. If you are looking to get away from the congestion and "commercialism" of Waikiki this is the place to stay. There were several fantastic local restraunts (Island Shack, Ted's Bakery, Shark ...

Great place - great time!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/12/07
We just got back from a week at Turtle Bay. This was by far the best vacation I have ever had. The resort is perfect. It is far enough away from the city to feel like you are in the country, but close enough if you get tired of just relaxing on the beach (who would?). The horse trails are a lot of fun (we went twice). The ocean seemed so close ...
