Wonderful view, fairly good service. However, the hotel has a very "forced and harsh" feeling which is out of character for the region. It belongs more in New York than Kauai, by design.

If you're looking for the most amazing view of Hanalei Bay and the coolest bathroom you can ask for... this is the place for you. However, the entore hotel is glass and marble and doesn't take advantage or play into the tropical surroundings. Walking into the Princeville Resort is like stepping into 1985. While it strives to be a luxury resort, the Princeville only succeeds in a few areas. It's dark, out-dated and over air-conditioned. With that said however, the staff was extremely accommodating and the location can't be beat. The hotel beach is beautiful and it's close to some of the best hiking spots in Hawaii.

One fantastic location to vacation! Beautiful pool, private beach with great snorkeling. Kids will love it! Families HAVE to check out the Luau which is great! Meals a wee bit pricey but the service and atmosphere is well worth it! Enjoy!
