We chose one of the garden cottages because they were described as very nice and private. Private they were, but nice they were not. They are probably 30 years old or more, with few if any upgrades beyond a coat of paint. Beds were uncomfortable, linens had holes in them, A/C was a window unit that did not do the job well, plumbing was very old and ...

We stayed here for or honeymoon and the room was great we didnt have a full ocean view room but we could see the ocean as soon as we waked in the door. I will difently come back and stay here
Very nice remodeled rooms. Nice decks with ocean view. I loved the free live Hawaiian music every night at the restaurant outside at the pool (overlooking the ocean and sunset!). That made the stay there totally worth it. The food was only so so. We had an okay meal and a not so good meal. But, loved the location and beach. The only negatives ...

We went November 08 with our two kids and loved it! The beach is right there! A very low key nice vacation spot with all the amenties of the high dollar hotels. We want to try the cottages next. How cool are those?

A Dream Come True!!

My wife and I spent five wonderful days here during our honeymoon. It was a great location. We thought the staff was friendly and the service was perfect. I would definitely go back.
I have to admit, staying on the other side of Black Rock leaves you with a little bit of a walk if you want to stroll down the beach and peruse the pools, shops and restaurants that Kaanapali has to offer.. but if you dont mind the small distance, the Royal Lahaina is THE place to stay. Its directly on the other side of Black Rock/Sheraton Maui, ...

We stayed September 2007 for our honeymoon. It was fabulous! We booked a cottage so we could be close to the beach, and wow, were we! The only two MINOR things I could say were wrong were that the parking is not fun (but that is par for the course for Hawaii), and on our first night our cottage wasn't ready. We stayed in the tower, which ...
