I had a reservation and arrived at 6:30. My room had not yet been cleaned. I asked if they could call housekeeping and get it cleaned and I was told they could not "bother" housekeeping. I asked to speak to a manger and was told they could not "bother" the manger... this is how it went...after finally checking in at 8:30 at ...

LEFT US WITHOUT A ROOM
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/14/09
Made a reservation on June 6th for 6/12/09 for 1 night. I made sure they knew I am in a wheelchair and we needed 2 beds. Got there and they decided no wheelchair accessible room. They charged my credit cards days in advance. Told me to go somewhere else. Left me (wheelchair bound) with a 7 year old and no place to go. I will be filing suit in court.
When we got there they didn't tell us their pool wasn't full (which was the only reason we stayed there). They sent us to a different pool to use the pool (which wasn't heated), it was so cold as soon as my daughter put her foot in her lips turned blue. The room was dirty and gross, and it was ridiculously over priced (over $100 for one ...
1. FIRST THEY CHECKED US IN A DAY BEFORE WE ARRIVED AND ARE ATTEMPTING TO CHARGE FOR THE DAY. 2. ELEVATOR IS BROKEN 3. HOT TUB IS BROKEN 4. INDOOR POOL IS BROKEN 5. ALL OF THIS IS BAD ENOUGH, BUT ADD RUDE STAFF AND MANAGEMENT AND IT BECOMES UNBEARABLE.
WE STAYED AT THE SEAGARDEN (FORMER NAME0 MANY TIMES, AND FOUND GOOD BUT DECLINING VALUE. ...
We went to Daytona Beach for the Pepsi 400 in July. Every part of our trip was great except for the Islander "Resort". It all started at the front desk. We were checked by somebody who obviously did not want to be there, nevermind us being there. We were given keys that did not open our room. They could not find any keys in the building ...
All the employees were miserable, The Hotel is in very bad condition, The beds are as old as the Hotel, The bathrooms are small, The water in the shower changes from Hot to Cold then cold to hot on it's own and has no water pressure, they don't change the sheets daily, There were sand flees or some other small bugs staying with us in the ...
Very nice view of the ocean and the city. Big surprise at being charged $5.00 a day for parking even though we were guests at the hotel.

We had an ocean front room and the view was beautiful. The people were friendly but not quite sure of what they doing. W e almost got charged twice for the room. By the way the second price they were going to charge us was cheaper than what we originally paid.

Patrons for 33 yrs, less service & cleanliness. Thru Oceans 45 min to book & I was told bargained for a great rate! Looked on line @ home, same rate. No bargain for the experience. Cancelling!!
I stay at the Seargarden in February of last year. I would not recommend staying there. The manager is nasty and is only looking to make money for the owner. The rest of the help seemed pleasent. The indoor pool was closed most of the time for repairs and, there seems to be a problem with the elevator most of the week.
