4-star prices for 3-star serviceAlthough the staff at this hotel were friendly, the overall experience at this hotel was very inadequate. The standard rooms are tiny with thin walls. You can hear everyone outside the room. When other guests close their doors next to you, the whole room vibrates. You may not get the room you paid forI booked this trip through Orbitz. I prepaid for the hotel room. When I arrived at the Royal palm they told me they didnt have anymore rooms like the one I prepaid for. We were given a room with an oceanview which they called an upgrade but it only had one bed. I LUV SOBEThis was our first time to South Beach [SOBE} and we had a BLAST! The hotel was in the perfect location to Lincoln/Ocean Dr. and Washington Ave. It's even located right next door to the Lowes which was one of our three hotel choices BUT we were able to stay at this hotel w/the fourth night FREE, who couldn't love that! The rooms were a "little" small but it was perfect vacation. I would recommend this hotel!OVERALL

Good HotelOn the pricer side. They fail to tell you that you have to pay 30$ a day for the 'pool and towel fee' but if it rains they will take it off for you, of course you have to bring this up to them the day of the rain. LOVED IT!I have nothing but great things to say bout the royal palm. Great location, great atmosphere, great service, friendly staff... jst a great experience all 2gether. The Royal Palm is definitely not the most extravagant hotel in South Beach,,, but its definitely a very nice, clean and up-kept hotel with the BEST bartendars around (say hello to Spanky (Phil) & Orlando :) Will not even attempt to stay anywhere else when I return.OVERALLServiceCleanlinessLocationValue

Nice hotel with a great location.This was our favorite hotel in Miami. It's right on the ocean, and you have access to Lincoln Ave and Ocean Drive with only a few minutes of walking. The rooms are nice, the staff was friendly, and you have perfect access to the beach. They do charge the $10 'resort fee', but for the towels and beach chairs, it's a good deal. Definitely NOT a FOUR STAR or close to it!We paid $400 per night for a "4-star" hotel. The rooms were big, but they smelled and the bathroom was no better than a cheap holiday inn (which I wouldn't mind, if it were billed as a 2-star hotel and billed accordingly.) Nice Place expensiveThe Hotel was very nice. The parking was expensive. Cost $24.00 a day even if you stay at the hotel. They charged us for Friday when we didn't check in till 130am on Sat. Tip to learn don't drive take the airport shuttle. Hotel close to everything. Also when you go out to eat tips are included in the total bill. GREAT LOCATION & VALUEI love the location of this hotel near Lincoln Street Shops & the Ocean Drive Strip! I went to the Royal Palm to get engaged & my fiancee & I loved our suite, the location, & the price/value! All the employees greeted us with smiles each day. The amenities are above average, but for the price & service it was great! Hats off to the Guest Services Manager for making our trip very special!
