The Fontainebleu is the real deal folks. I don't know who the idiots are that write all the negative reviews, I suppose they work from competing properties. The FB is an historic hotel. Yes -- it has some age on her and a bit dated in spots -- but you will not find a nicer pool area, friendlier staff or quiter accomodations. The restaurant ...

Wouldn't stay here again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/25/05
Apparently new owners are putting 500 mil. into renovations so hopefully all complaints i have will be taken care of soon. I stayed here for a conference and I was moderately disappointed. The location, yes, it's good because it's on the beach but you aren't close to ANYTHING else. If you want to go get food, it's at least a $15-20 ...

The place looked like it was really nice in the 70's and 80's. It looked very dated. The rooms were average, but the wallpaper and bathroom were worn and dirty looking.

As other reviewers have mentioned, the hotel is showing it's age. The fixtures in the rooms sometimes look like leftover props from a movie set 20-30 years ago. Although the room fixtures and appearance is old, things were in good repair and the room was very clean throughout our stay.
The inexcusable part about our experience was the ...

The Best is getting better

However, things are falling into place, and the hotel will undoubtedly be the debutante of the year after its up-coming face-life and internal rearrangement. The ...

Miami Classic
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/13/05
There was little not to like about this hotel although it's a bit pricey. But the food was great, the view spectacular, it's on the beach, and even the pool was nice. Classic Miami decor and architecture.

It was fun but had adding on
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/14/05
we all thought there was a ice cream place by the pool and a game room but the pool was very fun and good so we might go back this summer.
