Well I will start with the few positive things about this hotel. The rooms were pretty clean and the beds were comfortable. The pool area with the water slide is awesome. Now for the not so great things. When you walk into the lobby everything looks very new and nice and clean. When you get to the building where your room is actually located ...
I was taken in by the website, and very disappointed in the reality. It has no curb appeal, it is a dingy reminder of a hotel of yesteryear. pool area dirty, long wait for pool towels, shower by hot tub not working, no umbrellas for pool side tables. I just did not feel the place was very clean overall, hallways smelled stale. There are much nicer hotels in this price range.
I really don't understand the bad reviews. I had a group of 13 there in 4 rooms for 4 days and didn't have a single issue. The staff were always courteous, the rooms were 100% clean, the buffet was great!, the beds were very comfortable. I would stay there again without hesitation.
I was there with a group for business, and one of our members had to change rooms 4 times to find a room with clean sheets; apparantly they just made up the beds between guests instead of changing the sheets. But that's not the worst part; I came away with a staph infection. It's filthy dirty so I would NOT recommend taking children there ...
We booked through our Starwoods account and for being a member they will treat you like garbage. Using a membership system will ensure you get the worst room overlooking the noice of the parking lot with a tv we needed maintenence on. We were told that that is what was available to later be told we could up-grade but would have to pay extra for a ...
My husband booked the Sheraton Safari for 3 nights because there was a special... stay 2 night get the third free. Well, it's like they say "you get what you pay for".
I'll begin with the positives. This hotel was very inexpensive, a quick ride to the Disney parks and surprisingly the breakfast was acceptable.
For a sheraton this one is a bit of a bottom feeder. It's not bad jusyt not up to their usual standards, the hotel is in need of repair and better cleaning staff.
I stayed here for 3 days while going to disney world. I reserved a suite and it was a good size. The only thing I didn't like was the regular rooms had big balconys and my room just had sliding glass doors and about a foot long of space which means that you stand on the slider track. Not a big problem because you still have a view of the pool. Over all, it was a positive experience and I would go back for the right price.
I loved the African motif. We have stayed here about 5 times and we love it! Keep up the good work! We brought an additional family member and the kids loved it, especially the easy access pool. The dining room was excellent also!
