We stayed 12/31/05 - 01/03/06. We were assigned the wrong rooms. The rooms were dirty. Dirt, crumbs and dust in the nooks and crannies. The room had a putrid smell. The service was terrible with long slow moving lines at checkin, concierge, restaurants etc. Upon checkout we were overcharged. We had to put up with insults and disrespect to get the overcharges rescinded. Other than the location you can do much better outside the parks.

Once the Grand Dame of Disney resorts, the Contemporary is showing her wrinkles. Parking was horrible, the lines for anything were long, the food overpriced,but worst of all-the rooms were BAD.

The Contemporary at WDW can not be beat for its location to the magic of Disney. A quick hop on the monorail takes you to the most wonderful place on earth--the Magic Kingdom!

WE DID NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL BUT VISITED FOR THE CONCOURSE STEAKHOUSE RESTAURANT AND GIFT SHOPS. WE TOOK THE MONORAIL THERE WHICH WAS A NICE RELAXING RIDE. THE LOBBY AREA LOOKED NICE & THE FOOD SERVICE WAS GREAT. THE MONORAIL TRANSPORTATION OPTION FROM THIS HOTEL IS A BIG PLUS! MUCH BETTER THAN THE DISNEY BUS WHERE YOU ARE PACKED IN LIKE A SARDINE!

The Contemporary is great for the whole family. This is the only Hotel we stay at, and we have been going since 1989.
We always stay on the 12th floor,the ease of going to the park is great. Sometimes we walk over to the Magic Kingdom instead of taking the monorail!
Our room has always been clean, and the staff very helpful and friendly! Two thumbs up!
We are heading back there again over Thanksgiving.
We are counting down!!!!
