I stayed at the hotel for my honeymoon in August of 07. I will stay here again when I return to D.C. this year. Rates were affordable at the time and the staff was very polite and helpful. The food in the hotel restaurant was good. The room was very clean. There was no coffee in my room, only tea, (which was very good) You have to go downstairs to get coffee, but other than that this is a fabulous hotel for a good price.
the rooms are gorgeous and clean. The staff is helpful. The restaurant Iron Gate(?) across the street is top-notch. Our room toilet was malfunctioning but they put us in another nicer and bigger room immediately. Matt at the front desk is a gem. .Went to the free standup comedy show down in the hotel basement they have on Thursday nights. My son ...
I booked a package deal through expedia.com for three nights and four days to the Topaz Hotel. When i got there i was a little hesitant only for the fact that its on a little side road and seems kind of awkwardly placed for a boutique hotel. I was completely wrong! although the rooms are somewhat smaller than i though they are extremely clean and ...

My Home in DC
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/17/07
I stay at the Topaz 3 weeks each year. Have been doing that for 4 years. It's unique look and friendly staff make for a pleaseant week in the capital. N Street is relativly quiet but very convenient to central DC. The elevators are slow but all else is great.
The room was huge! It had lots of nice touches. Within walking distance of several restaurants. Very friendly staff. Room was very comfortable, the bed felt brand new and we slept like babies. Would definitely recommend and will most likely go back!

Advertised as a "yoga" hotel, this is my favorite hotel to stay at in DC. Why? The room looks really cool -- lots of different colors and patterns -- stars, stripes, a sun-shaped mirror -- that work well together. Big comfy bed and lots of pillows and a big upholstered headboard. A scroll on my pillow revealed the week's ...

Cool, funky, hip... oh, good location too
I was there a couple of months ago. it's close to the metro and that's a good thing - parking $$$ and driving *#@!* in dc is just not worth it.
The room was big and clean. I wouldn't decorate my own house like that but it was a fun change of decor. Staff is very very nice and its like they ...

This is one of the Kimpton hotels so it has a really funky feel to it. I love the decor and the staff is super friendly. The rooms are immaculately clean and there is a nice wine hour. Close to everything you need, trains etc....Wonderful place to stay in the city!
We really love this awesome and trendy boutique hotel in the heart of Dupont Circle. Unique rooms and great prices keep us coming back! Good bar for a drink before going out, or right before bed.
