Went there in Oct 2008 with my boyfriend because he had won a national scholarship and the award ceremony was there. It was nice that the scholarship program paid for the room but i wouldn't personally go there again cuz the price is not worth the room, (then again, what isn't expensive in DC?)
*Dislikes- found hair on writing desk and trash behind the sitting chair, very small closet (you will not have enought space to place luggage unless you remove all the extra blankets and linen in there), lighting is not good for working at desk, and desk chair is uncomfortable *Likes -Location is near union station and other tourist sites *Unusual- Bed is very high
I arrived at the Phoenix PArk Hotel on July 19 for an overnight stay. We were very excited about our stay. I had read the negative reviews but thought that I would give them the benfit of doubt and go ahead due to the great location of the hotel. I was so upset from the minute I checked in. The customer at the front desk is awful. We went to our ...
The rooms are extremely small, the pictures on their website are misleading. The hotel looks luxurious on the pictures and is a dissapointing kick in the stomach when you actually see it in person. The hotel staff are quite nice but the staff in the Dubliner restaurant, which Phoenix Park Hotel owns, are an absolute nightmare, they all treat you ...
Hotel was ok. The pool area is great. It was a little noisy as kids were running up and down hall after 11pm. The location is ok. Restaurant buffet was ok but limited choices.
Rooms are old and needs some TLC/renovations. Some things in the room did not work. It is in a great location in DC, near the capital. For what you get in the room I found the cost to be a bit high.
What a wonderful place to have a wedding reception. The staff was amazingly helpful with planning the event and making sure everything was just as my wife wanted. Excellent food and a perfect layout for any medium to large reception. The bar located on the lower level of the hotel was perfect for guests to continue the festivities. I highly recommend this charming Irish island in the heart of D.C.
My boyfriend and I decided to take a weekend trip from Philadelphia to Washington, D.C. I searched all over websites for a nice place that was close to the Amtrack Station to stay and was pleasently surprised!! This hotel is right down the street from the station and you can see it from the doors.. So it was easily accessable..Especially if you ...
We had a very enjoyable trip. The rooms don't rate the price (which is higher than quoted on this site) but the location was excellent. Had trouble with breakfast at the Dubliner but didn't try any other meals there. Would probably use this hotel again for it's convenience.
