I'm surprised that people would give this hotel only 1 star. For the value and location, this is a great hotel! We stayed in early July, after the holiday weekend. We had a AAA rate of only $144 per night. Comparable hotels in the area were going for much more.

My husband and I stayed in the luxury suite and it was simply spectacular. Elegant, refined and flawlessly decorated. Not to mention the beautiful dining room. We felt like royalty and were treated as such. We were in town for a funeral and chose Henley Park because of the value and lovely website, but the room and service exceded our expectations! Would highly recommend. Better than the Four Seasons without the price tag.

The Henley Park Hotel was far from the 4 and 5 star ratings that I have been reading. My hotel room was on the 8th floor. It was very small and tight. I really liked the location. The building architecture is a site to see. I also liked the valet parking and the polite mannerisms of the attendents. My assistant was told the hotel had been renovated - lie (2 floors were 2 years ago). The carpets were stained, the walls were water damaged. The room had no desk and drawers that would collapes when opened.

This is a faded grand dame that should fade away (or be purchased by someone with deep pockets willing to invest the money into making it nice.
