Pleasant stay in DenverMy husband and I stayed here the week prior to the DNC for a wedding. I must say, regardless of all the last minute scrambling in the city to ensure a flawless convention, this hotel didn't seem to have to do much! Not so much...I've stayed at a lot of hotels, this was basically a Best Western with valet at best. Nice lobby, great location, but it pretty much stops there. I stayed at a Super 8 in Lubbock (look it up) that I would have been more than happy to pay 130.00 a night for. Great visit!This hotel/conference center hosted a professional event over three days and I had a fabulous stay. The room was clean and comfortable, you could not hear any noise from adjacent rooms, the exercise room was clean and the equipment up to date, the service was excellent, and the food delicious. Horrible Customer ServiceThe sad thing here is I was never even able to stay at the Grand Hyatt Regency Denver. Using their online reservation service, I reserved a Valentine's Day Amour Package for my wife and I for February '08. Will no go backOnce you arrive you have to park in a nasty garage next to the hotel which they state they do not own. There are signs in the garage warning you to be aware of your surroundings. Will stay there alwaysThe location was perfect and the staff went out of their way to assist us with information on ski packages, tours and shopping. The service was great! Great Romantic WeekendMy husband and I just spent a night at the Hyatt and we can't wait to go back. We live an hour north of Denver but wanted to stay a night after attending the ballet. have a problem - don't expect help from the staffI was booked into this hotel based on incorrect information given to me by hotel staff. The conference I was attending was actually at the Denver Hyatt Regency. Upon learning of the error I spoke with staff who informed me nothing could be done, it was another hotel and I could not switch my reservation to the Regency. I would be charged. Child friendlyWhat a wonderful hotel. Impeccable service. I have a 2,4,and 6 year old boys and the hotel staff was very kind to the children....helping with strollers...directions to museums. The only somewhat negative comment is they need to provide coffee in the main hotel. Many people on Eastern time wake early and would like more than one cup of java (which they provide in room).
