I had never been to Colorado before, but heard that it was very beautiful. The Rocky mountains exceeded my expectations. We stayed at the Hotel Colorado which is a beautiful hotel that reminded me of the hotel in that movie - Somewhere in Time, with Christopher Reeve. It's historic and quiet and calm, and right across the street from the Hot Springs. It was a great time and I hope to go back someday :)

The location and hotel were beautiful, but this hotel does not have air conditioning!
we were there a few summers ago and it was during a heat wave, we were misserable the one night we slept there, and there were alot of noisey sounds in the halls in the middle of the night.The bathrooms are very
small as well, it's very basic, However the
outside bar and gardens are very nice.

We arrived to the hotel in the middle of Aug. It was hot. No air condition in the hotel only fans. Not clean. very small restroom. I hated it and couldn't stop thinking of leaving. Do not make any reservation - I waste $150

We have stayed in many historic and/or old hotels, both in the US and abroad. Hotel Colorado is the only hotel that we have ever stayed in that DOES NOT have air conditioning. If the Hotel Colorado plans to stay open and continue charging the rates they charge, they should invest in air conditioning, otherwise they should lower their rates to ...
