We went to death valley in November and to see something that was not man made was breathtaking. From the hotel you could see across the valley and no matter how long you looked it just was not enough. Our room at the hotel was very clean and the hotel staff could not of been better.
I like the fact that it is there! Since it is the only available option in case you want to sleep inside this is the spot! it is clean, fresh, has a nice pool, food and a full bar. also there's a little gasstation across the street and a 3 minute walk to the sand dunes. of course, then you'll have to climb those.

I have stayed at this motel twice in winter, in the standard rooms. If you don't want a lot of frills, and want to be closer to the northern features of the park, this is the place. It's so perfectly quiet at night, you can almost hear the stars moving across the sky. Rooms are basic and cozy, with air conditioning and heat, but no TV. Who ...

a very unique experience. so glad that we braved the 120 degree temperature, the pool was a heaven send and the bar/restaurant was wonderful. rooms were clean and provided what we needed.
