small bathroom,dirty sink ,short faucet ,never felt safe in the hotel(in the service book the first page reads do not open the door to anyone and do not show cash on the premises)located right into begars sanctuary that are very aggressive. this hotel made my stay in san francisco a bad experience.

Located near the heart of SF, ease to go to cityhall area, shopping area, cable car station and subway. Room and hotel are look old. Don't park here, there's a parking lot in the back close to the hotel in a cheaper price.

We brought a group of over 200 to stay at the hotel. The rooms were extremely small, it was located next to one of the sketchiest areas in downtown San Francisco and to make it worse, one of our guests got bed bugs. Stay away at all costs.

I recently honeymooned in s.f and upon arriving at this hotel had to ask for another room because it felt like a closet not a room.location is great if you like being bothered by homeless people.I felt like the kid from the movie "The Shining" with the red paint everywhere.Room also had the smallest bathroom ever made.Will be traveling to san fran. again soon but will NOT be staying here.

Iliked everything about this place. I really like how it makes you feel you went back in the future. Great broom and beds. 100% satisfied.

The hotel is conveniently located on the BART transit system and somewhat within walking distance (3 blocks) to Union Square, the Mall, and museums. If you can handle the stench of butt and cigarettes along with a bathroom in need of remodeling and drugged/drunken/just plain crazy homeless people surrounding the hotel, then you'll love it.

I booked multiple rooms for employees traveing on business and ALL of the rooms had BED BUGS. THis was for a recent stay on December 10-12, 2006.

I had a business trip to SF to call on Federal, State, and City offices. This hotel was walking distance to all the key locations I needed to go to. At night I took the Historic F-Line Trolly Street Car to the Embarcadero. Fast, easy, economical and fun way to get around SF. FREE hi-speed internet thoughout the hotel was very much appreciated.

The first time we visited this hotel we were pleasantly surprised at the Historic Decor and Grand lobby public space and restaurants. We had a drink at the Piano Bar in the lobby under Tiffany glass with other guests who came to town for a concert at Bill Graham Civic Center across the street.
