I was bumped from a flight on United and was sent to the Park Plaza in Oakland. The room was stale smelling and noisey but tolerable. I asked at the front desk for their "free" shuttle service to the BART station and was told it was $5 and that they would only take me back to the airport one time for free.

bad hotel no good decor. hard foam pillows. there was a smell in the room. the staff wasn't nice. shower was hard to use. i wouldn't stay here either.

Got a good deal on the room so we stayed there prior to flying out of Oakland. Seemed like the room was renovated recently. Nice paint on the wall and it was very clean. Bathroom was nice too. It's one of the closest hotels to the airport and the shuttle service to and from the airport was very quick. I definitely would stay here again.

front desk was friendly, but the building, food, pool area, and general upkeep was poor. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. your best bet would be to stay somewhere else and take a shuttle to the airport in Oakland.

On the website you see a very nice high rise hotel. In reality there are two small motel's located behind this building-this is where I was put at the end of a very dimly lit hall across from the laundry room whose door was open revealing loads of dirty sheets and next to a snack machine-this did not prove to be a very relaxing or restful stay. Would never go back. Front desk assistant manager was very unfriendly.
