After reading the reviews I have to put my 2 cents in. As long as you don't damage the property and disrupt the other guests, this is an absolutley wonderful place to stay. One thing we appreciate is we know we can trust that the rooms will be clean, the view amazing and the guest will behave themselves. The staff is kind and helpfull...we appreciate the security, breakfast and access to the gym.

My wifes family includinng my own have been staying at the kon tiki for 20 yrs plus for the duration of the strawberry festival. A group ha totaled the reservation of a min.4 rooms or more at 200 plus a night which is rediculous. I loved the room it was so nice,clean and peaceful. The view was beautiful. You can sit outside on your little patio and look at the ocean and you can walk right on to the beach. You must go. Well worth it.

From the outside street, It looks like any motel we have ever stayed in, but as you unlock your door, travel through the clean room and open the sliding glass door, it's like you have traveled to another place. love the clean and comfortable room with a private balcony over looking the ocean. we are going back! i can lay in bed and see the peir and ocean, leave my slider ocean and sleep to sound of the waves.

Love the location on the cliffs...close enough walk down to beach and to the pier. The pool is great. You can lay out and look at the ocean. Can't beat that.
Breakfast could be better...more of a selection.
