Was Convieniant to Be Close to Airport. We Jumped on the shuttle to airport, took the all-day bus pass for $5 and spent the day at Alcatraz and the Piers. Staff was Friendly and Helpful. Easy Access to Freeway too!

The breakfast bar is extremely inadequate, there was no coffee left at 9:30 in the morning, the breakfast bar was a mess and empty and the female manager in the office is really rude to the guests.

The rooms are maintained terribly, dirty carpets, dirty towels and there is coffee, but no filters in the room....so it;s not worth the price. I'm going to complain to head office, this is a poorly managed hotel.

I stayed at this Howard Johnson recently to take an examination at the convention center across the street. The staff were friendly, the premises were clean and the room was ok. However, the bathroom in the room we stayed in had a patch of thick black mold on the ceiling. Other than that the visit was ok. We couldn't find the pool or spa either.

When I made reservation on the internet. This property stated it was close to Fisahermans Wharf area. But there weren't. It took me like 25 min to get there, and thats without traffic. Coming back after leaving pier 39 trying to get out the city took me about 40 min to get back to the hotel. The hotel is to far from the city. I rather stay in the city and pay addiditional $10 for rooms a night.
