Actually this hotel was recommended by a staff member at the Travelodge Monterey Bay (they were booked). The hotel was very clean inside and out. Staff was excellent. Room was very clean. Me and my little one stayed here and felt very safe and I would highly recommend staying here.

We had a family gathering in September and found the DeAnza Inn to be quite nice. This was one of the more affordable hotels in Monterey that was still close enough to Cannery Row. Very spacious rooms and friendly staff. We're planning on staying in the hotel again when we return to Montery in the spring.

We were attending an event at the Monterey Fairgrounds just a couple of blocks away. Being able to leave our car at the Inn and walk there saved paying $20 to park both days that we attended. The accommodations were fine, slept like a log, it was quiet. We even tried the pool and spa, they were good too. The only thing missing - at breakfast ...

We stayed 2 nights in total over the weekend, and all in all the stay was fine. All I would say is that it's not close to the attractions on offer in Monterey.
The hotel itself was great value for money, but it wasn't close to the beach, downtown or Cannery Row/Aquarium which was a little inconvenient.
