June 15th, 2009. I've just spoken to a worker, he answered the phone, Travel Lodge. He states it is in the midst of transitioning and more remodeling. It will stay pet friendly with smoking and non smoking rooms with interior corridor entrky ways. The room rates are not what they are as shown on the internet sites. I would call or visit before booking a room. The rates have more than doubled. I hope this helps anyone looking at staying here.

the Sunland Inn just underwent a FULL RENNOVATION! new furniture, paint, carpets, landscaping, EVERYTHING. Saturday nights you will find "DJ Kazual" from Los Angeles (trained by DJ QUIK!) scratching it up at the on-site club. the bar and club ROCK. way to go, this place has come a long way!!!

I stayed here once when the nearby motels were full. I had to refuse the first room they gave me because the powerful cleanser smell couldn't quite overcome the underlying funky stench. Then I was given an upstairs poolside double room at the single rate, not as bad although the bed(s) should have been thrown out 20 years ago - sagging, tilted, ...

The thing about it is this motel is only 30 dollars you get what you pay for ive stayed at this motel more than once. Yeah the hall ways are not the best. But if you are tired and need a shower it works.
The sheets were clean and water was hot.
just close the door and its quiet.Im not sure about the restraunt but burger king is right there and a great buffet at the truck stop across the street.

Can't beat the price. What do you expect for $30 bucks? I stay here all the time when in the area on business. If I have time to kill, I stay somewhere nicer. But if I'm just on the road and won't be spending a lot of leisure time, the this place is just fine. Pool is nice. They don't care if you skinnydip; pool is open 24 hours which is nice.

Very convienient to I-8 / I-10, Queen room $31. incl. tax. Room very large but seems completely original furnishings/ tv from the mid 1970s. Very Retro look and feel to the whole place. The desk clerk was actually sitting behind a TYPEWRITER! He was a very old man who spoke softly and gave me the key and showed me where the room is.

the place was dirty and smelly rundown it looked like a run down hotel. It should be condemend. I am surprised someone has not closed them down.
