  • No better place to stay in town

    Not a single problem with the hotel. All hotel aspects, from price to personel, rate a 5. A block from the docks. For the Starbucks crowd there is a coffee house as part of the building that opens early also with a great staff. The hotel as car rental that ran great also. A four day stay over the 4th of July that could not have run any smoother.

  • A Bad Attitude Can Spoil the Stay

    The staff at the Scandia has been rude to me and shown a bad attitude 3 out of the 4 times I've stayed there. The hotel itself is fairly new, but usually the staff is rude. Whenever possible, I stay somewhere else.

  • Excellent hotel

    I stayed here in 1998. I found it to be decorated very well, clean, comfortable. The clientele was very friendly and helpful. It was tops. They also offered car rental, which was very convenient. This is the nicest establishment in the town.

    Scandia House is my home away from home on business in Petersburg. Charming and friendly folk always meet the airplane and bring you to the hotel, offering also to drop you to your business location as well. The hotel is always neat and clean, although sometimes a non-smoking room can have a bit of smoke odor. The rooms are spacious, the baths ...
