For a ship that sits in the mud by the stern as discovered in 2003 (provided by soundings of the bottom), a real treat. I must wonder if the screws are bent as a result. However, It is a must for any Navy enthusiast or tourist in the area.
This is a wonderful museum to visit. Very well organized. The mp3 players worked well with the children. Make sure you bring enough cash. They only take cash for the flight simulator and it cost $32 for 4 people. The picture at the end is also $20 cash. I hope they improve this in the future. You may pay with credit cards for entrance and food.
I went for an educational trip to this museum and i really had a good time..also the area around the museum can be lot's of fun.

I have always been keenly interested in navy ships, in particular the aircraft carriers. So, having the opportunity to tour an actual aircraft carrier was a dream come true! This is one of the few attractions in my travels that did not disappoint me in the end. Absolutely loved it!

As a former sailor I was allowed to see more of the ship! Very fun time, my family liked it also.

A wonderful place to learn history from the guides on the ship, many of whom served at that time. A great addition to the city of San Diego.

Fun for entire family

Interesting for the whole family. We got to the museum late (closes at 4:30) so we decided not to get the headphones for the guided tour. Instead we just looked around. Had a lot of fun but plan on taking the guided tour the next time. Stood in lines to get in but once on the Midway it didn't seem crowded at all! Great gift shop with nice memorabilia for collectors and great stuff for kids.
