Did not get to watch them making candy - they were not making candy while I was in the shoppe. The employees acted bored and uninterested. I asked about samples since I was not familiar with the black jacks or gibralters and wanted to try one before investing in something I may or may not like. When my relatives come to visit, Salem and the Pepper Company are at the top of their things-to-see list. The kids love it (obviously).
