Great Place

We spent the week after Christmas here for many years. Occasionally it looked like a winter wonderland and you can expect to get some serious fog during that time of the year so driving can be dangerous. If you like to hike there are some great hiking trails. The park and cabins were always very clean and the staff was always friendly.

Our favorite camping spot

I loved this park, because it's so far removed from any noise and the views are beautiful. We were very happy with all the different activites and were especially happy with how clean and well maintained the park is. Most state parks have drawbacks, but I can't think of one here. It's very easy to get to and I recommend not coming from Ellijay, but from HWY 75 to 411. Not nearly as many windy roads to travel.
