  • REBUILT FOR ENVIRONMENTALISTS NOT FOR FISHERMEN
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/27/09
HAVE BEEN FISHING OF OFF PIER FOR 33 YEARS AND HAVE HAD WONDERFUL EXPERIENCES.BUT NO MORE. PIER IS TO HIGH AND HAS NO LIGHTING OVER SIDES FOR NIGHT FISHING.TOO BAD THAT FISHERMEN WERE NOT ABLE TO HELP DESIGN THIS PIER.OLD PIER JUST NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED ON END, THIS WOULD HAVE SAVED HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS. SOME OF THE COMISSIONERS MUST ...

  • Pier Experience
    By Tommie J., 08/21/09
Hi! My name is Tamino, My experience at Panama City Beach Pier is a little different. I live in Georgia, but I am originally from Florida, so I’m not an amateur fisherman. The internet said that the pier was low to the water. The first day I arrived to the pier, it was 30’ above the water, there was no building at the entrance, and so ...

THIS IS A GREAT PLACE TO WATCH SURFERS. IF YOU ARE LUCKY YOU CAN WATCH DOLPHINS, STINGRAYS AND GREAT SUNSETS. TONS OF FISHERMEN YOU MIGHT EVEN SEE THEM REAL IN A SHARK HERE. PIER IS BEING TORN DOWN 2008 DUE TO HURRICANE DAMAGE BUT IS GETTING REBUILT.

  • Pretty Neat
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/05/08
We took some great pics of my husband and I with the beach in the background. We didn't go fishing, and a hurricane damaged some of the pier so it's kinda short, but it was neat. I think it costs like a dollar and you can come and go all day. Pretty neat.

  • Pier must be repaired and soon
    By bobby s, 12/08/07
I looked forward to going on vacation very year but since hurricane Ivan damaged the pier. (1/3 of pier is closed) fishing has not been the same. It gets to crowded and you can't fish in the best spot (End of the pier) I keep hearing that there are plans tp repair it but so far all I've heard is a bunch of talk.

  • No Better Pier Anywhere
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/13/07
The fishing on this pier is excellent. I have fished this pier for several years and have never been disappointed. I have caught King and Spanish Mackeral, Bluefish, Pompano, even some snapper one year. When this pier gets busy, it does get a little dagerous for the casual observer. There are plenty of people fishing. There isn't much room ...

  • BEWARE OF RED TIDE
    By Andy N, 09/29/07
I got to the pier around 7pm, expecting to fish most of the night. But due to the "red tide," NOTHING was biting. Just a bunch of dead fish floating. All the pro's were leaving early. I tried for a few hours and didnt even get a bite and no one around me did either. I'm only spending 1 night here so I'm sure it's good ...
