The visit to Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary was more than I excepted. It was very tranquil and peaceful. And the best thing about it, is looking for birds, animals and inserts among the swamp. The walkway through the swamp is neat and my husband enjoyed it, but it was so hot I just couldn't wait to get through it.

All the wildlife around us gave it a very peace ful atmosphere! I saw so many animals and creatures that I've never seen before!

The boardwalk also made the walk easier and more concentration into the nature instead of where your foot would land.

Anyone who enjoys nature has to visit. Plants, birds, wetlands. Very scenic and well-maintained. An easy walk along the boardwalk. We had our two year old twins in a stroller and had no problems. Be sure to bring a camera and binoculars.

Came from Long Island to see Naples and this was recommended by Fodors. I love to take landscape pics with my digital camera. Not much wildlife but a lot of interesting vegetation. The 2 mile walk was nice and took about 90 minutes. worth traveling the 60 mins from naples to see.

Went to Corkscrew last week - very early in the morning - and thought it was spectacular. Among the animals we saw: deer, woodpecker, heron, egret, alligator,squirrel and ibis.
It's a calming, beautiful place.

I visited Corkscrew when I was in the Naples area for a family vacation. Although, I wasn't too enthusiastic about this attraction, I ended up really enjoying myself! It's a very pleasant way to really see a swamp up close. No bugs! (that's right no bugs!) and the 2.25 mile boardwalk is very well maintained and just the right length. ...

...but the Corkscrew Swamp is a different world. One of the few remaining wild places in Naples, and we can only hope it survives the onslaught of new residents.
