The Island was awesome there are things to do all over the place. The only bad part is the transportation. I you stay on the island for a while it could cost a bit of money
My husband & I just returned f/ 9 days at Avalon Reef on Isla Mujeres. It was our honeymoon-We really enjoyed ourselves. We still ate at several different locations on the island. All had amazing food. You can use US money there also. Do not use american coins though. Be ready for eating outdoors with no air conditioning. All the restaurants ...
I thought it was beautiful! I had never been snorkeling before and thouroughly enjoyed the experience. I loved the little shops on the island--the people are so friendly too! I found some great bargains, got some sun, and got fed by the tour company. I highly recommend it!
The "Island of Women" is nothing more than a dot of sand in the middle of nowhere. The first thing thatr you notice is that there are hardly any shade trees. The boat ride is nothing more than another booze cruise. It's to hot with no shade. You may as well stay on Cancun. Much more to do.
like no other place! peace and quiet, sun and sea with all the fun and to take and the beautiful scenery to live like an old mayan god!!

Probably one of the best beaches Iīve ever seen is located on that Island, itīs named Playa Norte, it was absolutely beautiful, like nowhere else, not a very crowded beach, there was plenty of water sports, and I believe prices were fair, people as always in Mexico are charming, you can rent a scooter, or golf car, etc. drive around the island, you ...
it's just a such a quite place where you just go and relax w/ people that is ready to help you out, i really liked it and i know i'm for sure going back.
This is a total ripoff. The GARAFFON park is a good idea in theory, but if you are an experienced water sports person (scuba, freedive, etc) they treat everyone like children and tourists. They make you wear a life jacket for snorkelling EVERYWHERE on the island. If you DO decide to go anyway, take a ferry from Puerto Juarez,(bus drops off there) ...
